I have now completed two cycles of the Xtreme Fat Loss Diet and it’s been quite an adventure. I got through the first cycle without any problems at all. It actually seemed easier than I thought it would be. In the mirror it was obvious to see the changes in my body and I was super pumped and full of energy.

This second cycle has been quite different in many ways, both inside and out. Mentally and physically I was exhausted during the first two days of the second cycle. I was seriously loosing it (mentally). I almost felt like giving up. But I continued to focus on my goal and get as much support and motivation from my support community as possible.

I really wasn’t enjoying myself during the first two days of this second cycle. I was questioning what I was doing and was seriously contemplating going back on the Burn The Fat Feed The Muscle plan, which I absolutely love and has produced fantastic results for me.

It’s been a difficult week noticing changes in the mirror. For the first three days I wasn’t seeing any changes and I was thinking that I looked better on Day 6 than I did on Day 9. Today as I look in the mirror and while looking in the mirror during my workouts, I definitely notice that I’m getting more definition in my arms, shoulders, thighs, and upper abs. I think that’s making it tough to see the results in the lower belly fat area, which is the area that I want the fast to disappear from… of course ;)

My pants are literally falling off me, so I know that my waist is shrinking, but I don’t care as much about that as I do about seeing my abs ripped. I could care less about what the scale says, or the size of my waist than I do seeing incredible definition in my abs.

We’ve had some great conversations in the support community as many of us were going through a similar experience… feeling tired, not seeing the results, and questioning if the program was working for us, especially with the Xtreme effort that we’ve been putting in. We’ve really needed to rally together to keep up the great work and support each other to complete the challenge that we committed to.

It’s been great reading about other peoples successes and hearing how they have pushed through. That really keeps me going. Especially when I hear from someone who completed the third cycle already and continues to get great results. It’s been a matter of trusting the program, staying focused on my goal, and realizing that this is just temporary.

That’s the one thing that has been obvious to me this week… this is a temporary program. It’s an intense challenge for sure. I’d say that it’s not for everyone, but I’m amazed at the variety of people that we have following the program. From beginners, to long time yo-yo dieters, to lean and experienced trainees.

We all have our reasons for going through this challenge and that’s been one of the funnest parts of this journey… hearing everyone’s powerful reasons why and seeing how committed they are to making sure that they achieve their goals and experience those “powerful reasons why”, first hand.

I guess it’s time to reveal my results for this past 5 day cycle…

Xtreme Fat Loss Diet ResultsDuring the second 5 day cycle I released 1 pound, .6 percent body fat and 1/4 inches of my waist. That makes a total of 4 pounds being released from my body, 1.4% body fat, and 1 inch from my waist in 10 days.

Typically I would be ecstatic about those numbers. 4 pounds of weight loss in just 10 days!!! But because the Xtreme Fat Loss Diet promises Xtreme results, I can’t help but feel a bit disappointed. I’m getting my butt kicked here and I was expecting better results this week.

I need to take my mind off the Xtreme results and focus on the fact that I am indeed experiencing good results for the amount of time that I’ve been on the program. And I also have to remind myself that during this past 10 days, two of those days were cheat days where I ate a mountain full of junk. So really, it’s kind of like releasing 4 pounds in just 8 days.

It’s important to note that these pictures were taken at the same time of day and after some morning cheat eating just as I did with the pictures for the completion of the first five day cycle.

I’m really hoping to experience better results during the third cycle. Hearing stories of other people who have gone through the third cycle already and are experiencing great results is really keeping me going. Otherwise it would be all too easy for me to walk away from this plan.

I am definitely following the entire plan to the letter. That goes for the diet and the workouts. I’ve not deviated from the plan at all. I’m keeping this up and trust that the big results will come. My beach vacation depends upon it ;)

One thing that I’ve been experiencing this week is is that the more fat that I’m burning, the more excited I get about going back on Nick Nilsson’s Muscle Explosion program in August.

Tom Venuto Burn The FatOnce I get super lean I have set a goal for myself to never gain more than 2% body fat from this end result that I experience with the 25 day challenge. I really want to focus on muscle building in the near future in order to sculpt the body that I truly desire. I don’t want to get “HUGE” or anything. It’s just that I use Tom Venuto’s pictures as inspiration and I know that he’s got a good 20 pounds of extra muscle on him than I do.

As I’ve mentioned many times… my ultimate goal and focus is continuous growth. Always becoming better today than I was yesterday and better tomorrow than I am today. There are so many ways to improve ourselves and I am super excited to explore all the varieties that are available to us.

Once again, I thank you for sharing this journey with me. I do hope that my documentation of the Xtreme Fat Loss Diet is of benefit to you. I sure know that documenting this journey has benefited me in a very big way. Your support means the world to me!
