Unstoppable Motivation Day 2
by Scott Tousignant · Filed Under: Home Workouts
I hope that you enjoyed the motivational audio yesterday with Jim Katsoulis. If you haven’t listened to it yet please visit Unstoppable Motivation Day 1.
Today’s Motivational audio comes from the Unstoppable Fat Loss Interview that I did with Dax Moy, the creator of the Magic 100.
In this audio you are going to discover why setting ‘realistic goals’ may actually be holding you back and where you should be setting goals from instead of using ‘logic’.
One of my favorite parts of this interview is when Dax mentioned four keys to fat loss success.
1) Knowing What You Want
2) Knowing Why You Want It
3) Know What The Cost Is Of Achieving Your Goal
4) Pay The Price For Achieving It
Dax mentioned that most people are not truthful with what the real cost is of achieving our goals and very few are willing to pay the price.
So what are your thoughts and feedback from today’s audio? Share your comments and opinions in the box below.

This is great! I am Soooo glad that i got involved with all of this.
Thanks Mary. I really appreciate your positive feedback. I can’t wait to hear what you think about the rest of the audios and gifts.
Wow…what a great listen. It all makes sense. I have used some of these methods in my past, but I lost site of them due to lots of life that got in the way. I am back on track. And it really is amazing. I have seen things come into my life already to help me reach my dreams/goals. (Like YOU!! lol). Thank you so much for sharing this audio… It is not an easy process to change, but once you put your plan in motion, its amazing at how natural the ‘work’ becomes.
While Dax Moy is quite blunt about what it takes to achieve your goals,
I believe that he has given anybody that takes it on board and uses the information, inspirational. I have used some of the things that he talks about, but now have to put in place the others to realize my personal goals.

I love the part about SMART goals, and how the A and R are, well, useless. Haha. It reminds people that we are capable of incredible things as long as we put our mind and heart into it.
I have one question though. If you say you want to lose let’s say 5 pounds a week, you can’t say something like, “Go ahead” and “You can do as long as you try hard enough”, because it’s already unhealthy to try to do that, right?
Great comments and great question Ann. Releasing 5 pounds of weight can be done in one week, but releasing 5 pounds of fat would be a difficult challenge. I hesitate to say impossible because there may be some people who can do that.
The goal of releasing 5 pounds is realistic. It’s the time frame for achieving that goal that may be a bit out of reach for most people.
This is where the problem arises for many people. If they don’t reach their goal quickly they begin to believe that they’ll never achieve it. A goal of releasing 300 pounds is a realistic goal… just don’t plan on doing it over night unless you are surgically removing it.
This was an awesome chat but it brought up a few questions for me. I don’t feel happy in my marriage, my husband is cool but I feel like we are so stuck, I have to stay because I’m expected to, we’re used to it. I feel as though there is no place for me to even find my passion in this marriage let alone express it. So I need to give myself a chance and get out. Or is that my faulty greedy thinking? Do I need to stop looking for what’s not working and simply focus on what is? Is it a stupid fantasy that I could leave, is logic holding me prisoner, am I just finding fault in something that is a reflection of who I am or at least who I’ve been up to this point? I can see the rainbow out the window, is it fear that is stopping me or is it madness that is pulling me?
Whoa Gretel, those are some powerful questions and it sure sounds like you are dealing with a lot right now. I’m pretty darn sure that all marriages go through some very difficult times. I know that Angie and I certainly went through ours and hit a point where we felt like giving up. For us that would have been a mistake because now we are as happy as can be. I can’t imagine missing out on these past few years all because I gave up too soon.
It may sound weird, but fitness really played a huge role in getting us out of that ’stuck’ feeling and rekindling our flames. Working out together provided us with the opportunity to talk, connect, share a common goal, and gain respect for each other.
The problems in a marriage are usually a combination of both people. Sure there are cases where one person may be ‘more to blame’, but none of us are perfect.
Do you have a clear vision of how you would like your marriage to be? Does your husband know what you would like. Communication is key. Open up and share your goals. No fantasy is stupid.
What makes you happy in life Gretel? When are the moments when you feel in-tune with yourself?
I appreciate these questions. I’m not a marriage counselor or a doctor
I’m just expressing my thoughts and feelings.
