The Benefits Of Home Workouts
by Scott Tousignant · Filed Under: Fat Loss Quickie Home Workouts
There are many benefits to working out in the comfort of your own home. It doesn’t matter if you are wearing make-up or not, you can do it in your pj’s if you want, there’s no traffic to battle, and you can get it done quickly so you can get back to blogging and tweeting
The only possible downside would be interruptions from young children that are home with you during the day. But is that really a downside and a reason to put off a workout? I certainly don’t think so, and in fact we welcome the interruptions. You’ll see this in the workout videos below.
I encourage our kids to hang out with us during our workouts. They end up mimicking our movements and they think it’s a complete riot. We are positive role models for our children and if we get upset with them for interrupting us during our workouts it may leave a negative impression with them when it comes to fitness.
I refuse to paint a perfect scenario during my workout videos simply because that is not the reality that most of us face. In my videos you are pretty much guaranteed to see at least one of my kids jump into the scene and you’ll probably see my cat around my feet as well.
I’m pulling out the archives to share some videos that will help you get in shape, but also to show some funny moments when my kids pop in the scene. I love the last video when my daughter brings me water in her plastic tea cup set

This video was a lot of fun and very spontaneous. Easter morning we just had a light bulb moment to shoot this video…
Shoulders and Abs Workout
This video totally cracks me up every time. Not only does my daughter Noelle bring me water in her plastic tea cup, but she pulls up a ball and starts doing the same exercise as I am. Then at the end of the video she busts out doing some burpees. I didn’t do any burpees during the workout so it just goes to show that she learned through observing Angie and I workout all the other times.
I want to take this time to thank all moms and parents for making their health their #1 priority and being positive role models for your children and everyone else. I’m on a mission to reverse the obesity trend and I appreciate all that you do to contribute to this cause.
