If you love the combination of chocolate and peanut butter, you are going to love this Protein Shake, which also includes a banana…
Prograde Chocolate Peanut Butter and Banana Protein Shake
I made this protein shake for Noelle and I, where 2/3’s of it was consumed by me. Here are the ingredients that I added to it…
2 cups water
3 scoops Prograde Chocolate Protein Powder
1/2 cup Peanut Butter
1 banana
4 ice cubes
I’m really excited that Prograde Nutrition now has three flavors; vanilla, chocolate, and orange. I’ve been alternating between the different flavors and creating different protein shake recipes with each of them. I have been loving the variety! I’m still not sure which flavor is my favorite though.
I’ll be sharing many more protein shake recipes using all the different flavors. My family is totally hooked on these shakes. As I’ve mentioned before, we go through 3 bottles every month, and now that there are three flavors, we get the variety pack.
I consume one shake every day immediately after my workout, within that 45 minute window of opportunity where your body is absolutely primed to absorb the nutrients that are necessary to refuel and rebuild your muscles to ensure a speedy post workout recovery and reduce your delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS).
My partners at Prograde Nutrition have an incredibly detailed FREE Report on the topic of post-workout nutrition called, What To Never Eat After You Workout.
This report is an absolute MUST read! Prograde also makes a pre/post workout shake called Prograde Workout, which is fantastic, but I prefer to have the Prograde Protein Powder along with a banana or another fast digesting carbohydrate.
Enjoy this protein shake and be on the lookout for more great protein shake recipes!
Here are a few of the protein shakes that I’ve shared previously…

Scott this looks super yummy but how many servings does that make and what are the calories and macros? Might have to be a super small portion for us fat burning petite ladies? Does sound great though!
Glad to see that you are conscious of your caloric intake Dawn.
Here’s the macros if I were to make this as a shake for just one person. The only changes I would make is 2 scoops of protein powder instead of 3 and just 1 Tbsp of peanut butter instead of 1/2 cup:
Calories: 335
Protein: 112 cal
Carbs: 125 cal
Fat: 81 cal
If you’re drinking this shake as a post workout meal, you wouldn’t want to skimp too much more than this. I highly recommend reading the “What Never To Eat After Your Workout” free report above, for the reasons why.
OK I will try it!
