Fat Loss QuestionThe initial excitement of picking up a new fat loss book that promises amazing results can fill your mind with thoughts of hope and feelings of great anticipation and encouragement.

…but moments after you make your investment in this new fat loss program you immediately begin to hear that broken record playing over and over in your head…

“I’ve heard big promises before and have tried many different diet plans. I’ve experienced all these feelings of hope and excitement, but have never been able to stick with the program. I always fail. What will make this time any different?”

Although you hear that broken record playing in your mind, you decide to dive right in and go on the diet. Your plan is to “WILL” yourself through it and you “HOPE” that this time will be different.

Here lies the problem… you didn’t address your limiting belief! You’re just hoping that it’ll go away.

I recently recommended Joel Marion’s Xtreme Fat Loss Diet and I wanted to make sure that this indeed would be the time that you actually stick to a diet no matter how difficult and challenging it may be. So I created a super special support community for people who invested in the program through my recommendation.

The very first thing that I recommended was not to jump right into the program. Instead, I want you to take a few days to go through the material, fully understand it, and create a plan for success. The more prepared you are, the greater your chances of following through with the complete program.

You must prepare for more than what the program lays out for you. You must prepare for the unforseen obstacles and challenges. You must prepare your mind to handle these moments of difficulty.

That’s why I requested that the members of my super special support community take a few minutes to list their doubts, fears, and limiting beliefs about the Xtreme Fat Loss Diet before they began the program.

Low and behold, one of my valued members stated the one limiting belief that I’m sure was on many members minds…

“I have been trying to lose weight forever. Why will this be any different?”

This was my response…

Now this is the mother of all limiting beliefs and am I ever glad that you asked it! Why should this be different? Yep, that’s a question that has gone through all of our minds on many occasions for all areas of our lives. It’s one that you should address for all areas of your life as well.

First let’s take a look at your previous attempts to lose weight. What were some of the things that caused you to ‘fail’? What were some of your setbacks and challenges?

Was it a night out with your friends that sabotaged you and caused you to throw in the towel? Did you come down with a cold? Did you get hurt? Did you have easy access to junk food in your home, which made it too tempting?

What can you learn from those experiences? Can you make sure not to have any junk in the house? Can you ask your friends for support before dining out with them? Can you set aside the feelings of guilt if you happen to slip up for a moment and rather than continue to binge, stop yourself and say, “It’s ok that I just had a small slip up, it won’t kill me, but I can’t allow myself to continue on this binge.” If you got injured would it be possible to train other body parts rather than becoming completely sedentary?

So now if you face these same challenges and obstacles you can be prepared. This time is different. You need to stop living in the past and realize that this is an entirely new and unique experience. Start with a clean slate. Focus on the future rather than the past.

Other people just like you, with challenges much greater than you have been able to achieve success. Yes they failed many times before their successes, but they used their challenges to push them forward.

Fat Loss challengesIf you do not address this limiting belief of “Why should this time be any different?” it’s going to feel like an avalanche of past failures racing down to crush you!

This picture is a great illustration of my point. Each domino represents a past failure of yours. If you don’t address the obstacles that prevented you from succeeding in the past and you don’t come up with an action plan to overcome that obstacle, that very first domino will easily knock down the second one if you are faced with it again.

With each attempt at losing weight that begins without addressing your doubts, fears, and limiting beliefs, the falling dominos gain momentum and it becomes easier and easier to knock the next one down.

By taking the time to plan and address the reasons for your past ‘failures’ it’s like the little stickman in the illustration, jumping in and preventing that last one from falling over.

How many times have you told yourself, “If this diet plan doesn’t work nothing will. I’ve tried everything.” This statement represents the last domino in the illustration. You now have a choice… Do you do what you’ve always done and dive right in hoping that it will work… or are you going to take the time to plan, prepare, address any concerns, and create an Unstoppable Mindset to push you through the journey?

With the second option you will find that you begin to EXPECT SUCCESS rather than just hope for it.

That’s what will make this time different! It’s not necessarily the program itself… it’s your approach to the program.
