Have You Been Avoiding This Diet Trick?

This weeks series of articles have focused on finding the joy and pleasure in eating less, while not giving up your favorite treats. Today I’m going to reveal a diet strategy that makes it even easier to achieve the above goal. This strategy is far from new and it’s actually something that I avoided for years. I pride myself on having an open mind when it comes to diet and nutrition, which is why I hate to admit that for some reason I had a very closed mind about this diet strategy, which I have now come to enjoy very much.

Eating For Pleasure

The number one reason to eat, is purely for survival. To consume enough calories to sustain your life and allow you to perform the tasks that you enjoy and are required to do throughout your day to the greatest of your abilities.

Ideally, the foods that you consume should be of high quality in order to provide you with the greatest bang for your buck with every bite that you eat. This is especially important when you are eating less. If you are allotted 1400 calories to consume throughout the day and 1000 of them come from a frappuccino with whip cream along with a muffin on the side, It’s going to be very difficult to ingest your daily requirement of nutrients unless you are taking vitamin supplements.

How To Improve Your Relationship With Food

If you’ve been struggling to lose weight I can assure you that it’s not because you haven’t discovered the greatest fat burning exercise of all time or because you are eating the top five forbidden foods that cause weight gain. The real reason why you are struggling to lose weight is because you’re overeating. Simple as that. Complicating matters any further than this will only place unnecessary stress on yourself and your body and that’s the last thing that I want for you. What I do wish for you is that you discover the joy in this process of transforming your body and embrace your new fun and healthy lifestyle.

The best advice that I’ve heard when it comes to fat loss, came from my friend Brad Pilion, author of Eat Stop Eat. Brad’s advice… “Eat less, stress less; move more, lift more and get a good night’s sleep. For physical health, that’s pretty much as good as it gets.”

Take Fat Loss Research With A Grain Of Salt

Every day I receive at least one email in my inbox, which quotes an interpretation of some research study, revealing that I should “Never eat this…” or “Never do this exercise”. Within the email there is always a link to some sort of product that is ’supposedly’ a healthier alternative. So of course, there’s some sort of hidden agenda behind the sharing of this research.

Sometimes the email is from one of our valued Fat Loss Quickie blog readers who is surprised that we demonstrated an exercise that research has shown to be ‘dangerous’ or ‘ineffective’. Nearly every time that Angie and I share one of our meals or favorite recipes, we receive an email or blog post comment from one of our valued readers who is surprised that we include an ingredient that research has shown will somehow make us fat or kill us. I certainly can’t blame them for sharing these thoughts and feelings with us, because they too, are being flooded with emails that quote ‘interpretations’ of research studies, and the emails are from people who they believe they can trust.

Immediate and Inspired Action Leads To Fat Loss Success

I have an awesome interview and success story to share with you today. The underlying principle is the importance of taking inspired and immediate action after consuming valuable fat loss information that has the potential to seriously transform your body.

The way that I look at it, there are two types of people when it comes to body transformations. There are the people who read book after book and are quick to jump on board with the latest hyped up fat loss program, yet they do nothing more than read. They may take some kind of action, but in the back of their minds they are thinking that “This will never work.” Unfortunately these people never achieve the body transformation that they desire.

Then there are the serious action takers. The people who read a book or listen to an audio and can’t wait to take action. They’ll hit pause on their mp3 player or bookmark a page so they can apply a new exercise technique or recipe. They seize the moment of inspiration and take immediate action. They’re not waiting for tomorrow, or Monday to come before they take action. They take action NOW! That’s why these are the people who become successful at reaching their body transformation goals.
