Cardio Compliance
by Scott Tousignant · Filed Under: Fat Loss Quickie Cardio
Is long duration cardio really boring and mind numbing? Maybe. For me, I can’t last more than 10 minutes jogging before I start dreading it. It’s just not my thing. It’s not something that I could stick with for the long term and would cause me to constantly yo-yo on my program. But you’ll never catch me saying that long duration cardio is ineffective and boring.
In the video below you will join me during my long duration cardio bike ride through the countryside and see why this is often times the best part of my day.
The #1 reason why fat loss programs fail is because the individual can not comply with it long enough to experience life long results. If you want to comply to your fat loss program you must incorporate activities that you enjoy. Sure they will be challenging, but they are fun at the same time.
As I mention in the video, I look forward to going for these bike rides for a variety of reasons. Here they are:
My focus for these bike rides is happiness and enjoyment. Fat loss is the last reason why I’m out there. I know the long duration cardio sessions is helping improve my body, but I’m out there for many more reasons that excite me.
That’s what you need in order to comply to your fat loss program. You can have the best fat loss program in the world designed for you, but if you can’t stick to it, it will be no good to you at all.
When you get excited about fitness and physical activity you know that you are on the right track for fat loss success. If you are dreading every second of it, you need to make some changes and find a program that you will enjoy.
Most of my physical activity consists of short intense workouts and cardio sessions. It’s what works best for me in terms of boosting my metabolism and losing belly fat. It’s also what I comply to the most as it’s easy to stick with and allows me to get on with my day and do so with more energy and increased productivity.
Incorporating these fun bike rides just adds to my overall fat loss experience and makes me want to keep pushing forward.
What physical activities do you enjoy the most? I’d love to hear from you. Just post your comments below.
You ROCK! Enjoy the experience,
