Are Supplements Really Worth It?

Are you overwhelmed when you walk into your local supplement store? Fat burners, muscle gainers, meal replacement bars, joint repair, and colon cleansers are just a few of the supplements that you will find lining their shelves. To make matters even more overwhelming there appear to be a limitless number of companies producing each supplement, with all of them making big claims and statements about why you should choose them over their competition.
You don’t even need to leave your home to become overwhelmed by the supplement industry. Simply flip the channel on your television and I’m sure that you’ll see some type of infomercial claiming that they have a line of miracle supplements that will melt your fat and give you the body of your dreams.
Yesterday, my 89 year old personal training client handed me a flier from one of the supplement chains that was inserted into the weekend newspaper. This was more like a novel instead of a flier and it was filled with every supplement that you could imagine.
At the top of the flier my client wrote, “This turned me off!” He was overwhelmed at the statements claiming that we needed to take all these pills if we want to live a long and healthy life. He went on to say, “What’s wrong with us if we need all these supplements?” This lead to a great conversation about whether or not supplements are really worth the money that we spend on them.
We started our conversation about the way that the majority of supplements are marketed to us. As we flipped through the supplement novel… I mean flier, it was obvious that the marketing of supplements revolves around two things… Scare tactics and quick fix effortless results.
Don’t want to die of cancer or a heart attack… take these pills. Want to lose weight without diet or exercises… take these pills and sleep away the pounds.
Sounds crazy and almost humorous at the same time, yet millions of people buy into this kind of marketing and that’s why these supplement companies continue to push these kind of claims upon you.
But not all supplement companies are alike. Not all of them make outrageous claims. Not all of them try to push every supplement under the sun to you.
During the past 15 years I’ve taken my fair share of supplements. Unfortunately many times I would have been better off taking my hard earned money and just throwing it up in the air. But it hasn’t all been bad. There are definitely some products that worked really well for me. Creatine, glutamine, and glucosamine have been supplements that produced obvious visible results for myself, although I haven’t taken them in a long while. It is important that you do some research on the companies producing those supplements though. Some products only have trace amounts of the actual supplement and others contain very poor quality and are low grade.
I don’t do much shopping around for supplements any more. I consider myself lucky, grateful, and fortunate that some very good friends of mine built a reputable supplement company a few years ago with your best interests at heart.
…That reputable supplement company is called Prograde Nutrition!
Notice how they don’t promote every supplement under the sun. When you visit the Prograde website you won’t be overwhelmed with an enormous catalog of supplements to choose from. To answer my 89 year old clients question, “Do we really need all these supplements in order to live a long quality life”… NO! That’s why Prograde only produces the supplements that are proven to improve your health and performance.
When you visit the Prograde Nutrition website be sure to watch the behind the scenes video of their facility. They’ll take you through the process of how their products are developed. I don’t know of any other supplement company that has gone to this length to build trust with us, the consumer. I’m pretty darn sure that many supplement companies would prefer to hide this information from you. But not Prograde.
Prograde also goes to great lengths to educate their consumers. They keep you up to date on the latest research that will impact your health and longevity, plus they share some great nutrition and fitness tips that will help you perform at your absolute best. I’ll be posting Prograde research and nutrition tips here on the Fat Loss Quickie blog frequently as I am certain that you will benefit a great deal from it.
Prograde is the only supplement company that I trust 100% and feel comfortable recommending to you. Part of the reason is because I know the owners on a personal level and am confident that they have your best interests and my family’s best interests at heart.
I’ve been a partner of Prograde and a customer of Prograde right from the start because I believe in the quality that they produce and even more important to me is that their values are in line with mine, which is something that I can’t say for any other supplement company.
Prograde is not a multi-level marketing (MLM) company. Going that route would have inflated the price of the supplements and Prograde would rather pass the savings onto you.
My family stands 100% behind Prograde and if you are thinking about taking any supplements at all, which I believe we all should, I recommend that you visit the Prograde website today.
Are supplements really worth the investment? When they come from a reputable company whom only produces the supplements that they are certain will impact your health, performance, and quality of life, they are absolutely worth every penny and more.
I’ll be sharing some of my family’s personal experiences with Prograde supplements as well as research and nutrition tips in future blog posts so be on the lookout.
