30 Day Home Office Fitness Challenge: Day 3 Convenient Healthy Food
by Scott Tousignant · Filed Under: Fat Loss Quickie Nutrition
When you work from home it’s very easy to become absorbed in your work and go hours without eating or drinking. Then when you finally realize that you are ’starving’ due to the loud rumbling noises coming from your belly, you frantically run to the fridge or cupboard in search of the quickest and easiest thing to satisfy your hunger pangs. Unfortunately the choices that you make in these moments are not always the healthiest of choices.
When you want something that’s convenient, what usually comes to mind is a food that packaged in a wrapper or box. This is the last thing that you should be fueling your body with if you want to be super-focused, energized, and high productive. So what’s the solution?
Make Healthy Foods Convenient In Your Home Office
Convenience stores have glorified junk food as being convenience food. But the truth is that it’s not the most convenient food. The most convenient food are the natural foods that come from the Earth. Foods like apples, blueberries, pears, oranges, walnuts, almonds, grapes, tomatoes, and oats.
The problem is that you have these foods buried somewhere in your fridge and out of site. You need to put these foods on display. Place a bowl of fruit, a container of nuts, and a bottle of water on your desk. Not only will this make the healthy food convenient for you to grab, but I guarantee that you will never allow your self to get to the point where you are ’starving’ and scrambling for food again.
It’s time to take that bag of M&M’s out of your desk drawer and replace it with healthier choices such as a yummy trail mix with nuts, seeds and dried fruits and berries that you can enjoy.
It’s all about keeping healthy food as top of mind. In fact, when you follow this advice, your health will always be top of mind. A simple glance a the fruit bowl will be a reminder that this is the “NEW YOU” who is taking care of their health because they know how much it will improve their business and life.
So your task for the day is to place a fruit bowl at your desk along with a container of walnuts or almonds, and a big glass or bottle of water.
You can do it! I know you can!
You ROCK! Enjoy the experience,
Scott Tousignant

Thanks Scott for this great “back to basic” health tip video. Will switch my Quaker Zero Trans Fat Butter Popcorn Rice cakes for a nuts/ almonds and fruits bowl.
Can’t wait to get my stability ball this weekend and pursue the 30 day challenge your are so generously delivering on your blog. Looking forward to increase focus, energy and productivity.
We do not rock yet ..getting there…but you do rock !
All the best.
You are more than welcome Janice and congrats on making the switch to nuts and fruit. It should give you a great energy boost!
OK, I have a fruit bowl with apples and a water jug at my desk. I am not good about drinking water, I usually drink about 6 double lattes each day and skip on the water. The jug will help so I can see how much I am drinking. Great tip.
I already have a big can of almonds and raisins at the desk and sometimes I mix them together to make trail mix in my hand as I eat it for a snack.
I just need to cut back late at night as it seems to add weight.
I have been able to get my weight back to my high school weight but not my figure. I think sitting on the pilates ball for work will help turn the extra lower weight fat into higher weight muscle and will be happy to buy a new belt or shorts as my waist gets smaller.
I am very grateful that you are doing this 30 day challenge and it reminds me of when I first met Coach Deb on twitter, we challenged each other to get off twitter and do a project late one night. I did my first sales video that night. I did not know she was a social media guru, she was just one of the nicest people I had met on twitter along with Donna Fox. So when I saw Coach Deb signed up for this challenge it brought me here and I am so glad I did.
Thanks Scott! This is really cool!
