Today’s home office fitness challenge is all about reducing stress. Check out some of the ways that I reduce stress in my life. It’s pretty simple really…

How To Reduce Stress

Fat Loss Quickie

Stress can cause major havoc on your body. Stress releases hormones into your bloodstream that make it difficult for you to lose belly fat and cause you to store fat. Stress can actually produce similar effects to eating a junk food diet and cause you to store belly fat.

Ironically, many diet and exercise programs end up causing more stress in your life. If you are drastically reducing your calories and trying to eat perfect the stress that you put on yourself may actually work against the diet.

Same thing with exercise. If you begin a fitness program that demand you spend hours in the gym each week it can place a great deal of stress on you to try and find the time to workout and then try to get caught up on the things that you needed to do while you were spending hours and hours in the gym.

That’s why it’s so important to find a program that is enjoyable and easy to stick with. A program that suits your lifestyle. A program that doesn’t require perfection in order to succeed. A program that doesn’t require that you spend hours in the gym.

Try to incorporate activities that you enjoy into your day. I love riding my bike along the county road out here. It clears my mind and gets me in-tune with myself. I enjoy fast fun home office workouts because it suits my lifestyle and doesn’t demand much time out of my day. I also enjoy the energy boost afterward, which helps me get more done in less time and gives me the boost to run around with my kids.

If I’m stressed out, a quick workout is one of the best things that I can do for myself. It’s a great way to release tension and blow off some steam. In fact, if Angie detects that I’m even a little bit irritable she tells me to workout… so I do ;)

Consuming healthy natural foods can have a soothing and healing impact on your body as well. Feed your body what it really craves… the foods that energize you and help you function at your absolute best.

Your task today… if you are feeling stressed take a 10 minute quickie break and perform the cardio or workout sessions that I shared with you earlier on in this challenge.

Tomorrow’s home office fitness challenge is all about balance between business, fitness, and life. Yes it’s totally possible ;)

You ROCK! Enjoy the experience,

Scott Tousignant
