Fitness Lessons From a 90 Year Old

This past week my long time personal training client Bill Willson turned 90 years young. It’s been an absolutely incredible experience for the both of us as we reflect on this special event in Bill’s life. His birthday has also brought up the opportunity for me to recall the priceless lessons that I have learned from Bill during the past 10 years that I have been training him.

Before I get to the lessons that I’ve learned from Bill, I would like to share a video with you, where Bill demonstrates a few variations of the squat while using a stability ball.

The variations of the Stability Ball Squat that Bill performed in this video are:

This Mindset Stuff Really Works

I am really excited to share a really cool experience that recently happened to me, which demonstrates the critically important role that our mindset plays in achieving our goals.

It’s obvious to everyone in the gym that I spend just as much or more time strengthening my mental muscles as I do my arms, chest, and legs. I walk into the gym with intense focus, which increases with every second during my workout. Nothing can bring me out of this focus. I walk through the door with great intention and purpose.

Each rep of each set brings me one step closer to achieving my goals. I have a very clear image of the physique that I am about to sculpt, I know what needs to be done in order to achieve that image, and I’m willing to pay that price and put in the hard work to make that vision become a reality for me.

How am I able to create such a clear image in my mind of what I envision my body to look like? Simple…

You Can Have Your Cake and Eat It… and Lose Weight Too

Angie and I recorded a video for you that reveals how she eats, her mindset when it comes to indulging in tasty treats (daily), and how she is able to maintain a flat tummy and six pack abs without dieting.

Angie and I are very different in our approach to dieting. We eat nearly all the same foods, but I prefer to have a structured nutrition plan, or diet if you will, where as Angie prefers not to diet and live a more naturally thin lifestyle.

How To Prevent Weight Regain After Achieving Your Fat Loss Goals

I received some great questions from a valued reader of the Fat Loss Quickie blog recently that I would love to address here in hopes that you and many others will benefit too. Debora’s questions were about preventing weight regain after achieving your fat loss goal, emotional eating, craving sweets, and which diet programs I recommend. Let’s start with preventing the weight regain…

Debora mentioned, “I’ve succeeded in losing fat (in particular when I had some event as a motivation I’d lose 10-15 kg in about 2 months) but then gained it back.”

The Power of Planning and Events

Debora mentioned something very important in this statement, and it’s actually one of the best strategies for fat loss success, which is the power of planning an event around your fat loss goal.

One of the keys to long term success is

Xtreme Fat Loss Diet 100% Honest Review

The purpose of my review is to provide you with the best information to help you make a wise and educated investment in the Xtreme Fat Loss Diet as well as share some very valuable insights that will help you make the most out of the Xtreme Fat Loss Diet and achieve the best results possible.

Xtreme Fat Loss Diet ResultsThis review is based on my personal experience of following the 25 day Xtreme Fat Loss Diet Challenge as well as the experiences of many people within my support community who embarked on this 25 day journey along with me.

A review of the Xtreme Fat Loss Diet wouldn’t be 100% honest and complete without a fun picture of me posing ;) That actually felt awkward… I’m not use to flexing or posing :D But I sure had fun with it though and it was a great way to celebrate the success that I’ve had with this program in such a short period of time.

Before I get into the results that I experienced, it’s important to understand why I made the decision to take part in the Xtreme Fat Loss Diet…

Xtreme Fat Loss Diet Day 25

It feels so weird to type in day 25 for the Xtreme Fat Loss Diet. That means that this 25 day journey has come to an end. It’s definitely a surreal feeling. I am however, ready to move on and transition into the next stage of my body transformation journey. But before I go there, let me share what I ate today…

It was pretty much an Eggstravaganza today! :D

I started the day off with scrambled egg whites, tomatoes, and red peppers. I then had a chicken breast followed by another scrambled egg, tomato, and pepper dish. Then I had a can of tuna with tomatoes, cuccumber, and light ranch dressing. And I finished off my day with two whole eggs, four egg whites, mushrooms, tomatoes, and yellow peppers.

Can You Trust Body Fat Scales?

It’s great to see more and more people focusing on releasing body fat rather than just weight loss when embarking on a body transformation journey. This rise in awareness about the importance of body recomposition has brought about a rise in sales for body fat scales, which offers a convenient way of measuring your body fat percentage. But can you really trust the readings that body fat scales produce? How can you ensure the most accurate reading possible?

Here’s a video demonstration to help illustrate this point…

Pretty cool that I was able to gain one pound of muscle in just one minute eh? :)

Obviously I didn’t gain a pound of muscle, but I wanted to illustrate the point about how easy it is to throw off the readings with body fat scales.

Xtreme Fat Loss Diet Day 24

I sure am glad that today was a moderate carb day with the Xtreme Fat Loss Diet because I found myself really craving them. I started my day with a stuffed pepper that was left over from the dinner that my family had two days ago. I couldn’t wait to eat it. That stuffed pepper had been on my mind since the time Angie put it in the crockpot ;) You can find the recipe here: Stuffed Peppers in the slow cooker

About an hour later I did the workout and had another stuffed pepper immediately afterward. My next meal was yet another stuffed pepper… Can you tell how much I love them ;)

Fat Loss Expert Angie TousignantHi everyone…I’m really excited to share with all of you a totally amazing program that I am currently following. Nick Nilsson offers a great program called Gluteus to the Maximus for those of you who want to firm up that butt, and/or thigh area…I’d say most women can relate to this issue!!

His program offers different workouts depending upon whether you work out from home or go to a gym setting. I will be following his 20 min. Advanced Home Workouts. I have put myself through his program in the past and achieved amazing results…as a matter of fact, after seeing our new, tight physiques Scott and I decided to do a photo shoot.
